        • Itinerary

          Our 11-day itinerary has been carefully designed so that you have time for sightseeing in Kathmandu and acclimatization before gaining further elevation during the trek. If you wish to make any changes in this itinerary then please let us know and we can customize it for you.

          Day 1: Arrival

          On your arrival, you will be welcomed by one of our staff members at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. A 45 minutes drive, depending on traffic, will bring you to your Bed&Breakfast in Kathmandu. Rest and relax for the rest of the day while enjoying your first local food.

          The B&Bs and hotels that we chose for our guests are located in safe and peaceful areas with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.

          Day 2: Orientation and Kathmandu cultural tour

          Enjoy your complimentary breakfast in the morning and meet your adventure tour guide. He will walk you through basic things like understanding the culture, trek preparations including your packing list and he shows you the trekking route on a map. Afterward, you will get to explore Kathmandu City and its cultural heritage.​

          Day 3: Drive to Sundarijal (1300 m / 4265 ft) and hike to Chisapani (2220 m / 7215 ft)

          After the complimentary breakfast at your B&B, our private vehicle will drop you off to a place called Sundarijal, which is gonna be your trek start. It will take you an hour and a half of driving to get there. Enjoy the drive through the cultural city of Kathmandu.

           

          After the short drive, you will arrive at Sundarijal. Your guide will give you a short introduction of the hike today and show you the route on the map. Today, you will be hiking through the rice terraces, stairs, waterfalls, and cultural villages. We want you to enjoy the hike as you experience a new culture, tradition and the beauty of Nepal, which means you will take it slow and easy. You will stop for lunch in between and once you are finished with your delicious food, you will get back on the trail again. After hiking uphill for another 2 hours, you will reach the highest point of the day (2500 meters) and that's when you start to make your way down to Chisapani for the night. Rest of the evening, you will enjoy hanging out and sharing your experiences with other trekkers and local people.

          Hiking: 6 hours / 11 km

          Day 4: Trek to Chipling (2210 m / 7250 ft)

          If you are early in the morning, you will able to eyewitness some of the beautiful mountain ranges. Grab your tea and just relax!

          After the view, it's time for breakfast and to get ready for the day. Your guide will introduce you to the hike today on a map including the highs and the lows. Today you will start the day with a downhill section. You will hike down for an hour until you meet the dirt road and start on a gradual uphill for about 45 minutes which will bring you back on the trail again. You will stop for the short tea and a bathroom break before you start your final climb of the day to Chipling.

          This is gonna be your lunch stop and a stay for the night. Enjoy your cozy teahouse, firewood cooked food and getting to know the family you’re gonna be spending the night together.

          Hiking: 6 hours / 10 km

          Day 5: Trek to Kutumsang (2436 m / 7996 ft)

          Another beautiful morning with a great sunrise view. Locally prepared delicious Tibetan bread with a double fried egg is what you need today, tasty and filling. You have two major climbs before reaching the destination today. Each climb will be about 2 hours long. You will be an eyewitness to spectacular views as you hike along some beautiful ridges and experiencing the culture change as you pass through different villages. We will have both lunch and stay at Kutumsang.

          Hiking: 6 hours / 12 km

          Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

          Accommodation: teahouse in Kutumsang

          Day 6: Trek to Mangengoth (3420 m / 11,220 ft)

          Today, you will be hiking uphill for most of the time while gaining some elevation. Drinking lots of water and staying hydrated is the key today. After breakfast, your guide will walk you through today's plan. You will officially enter Langtang National Park today. After you start the day, 3-4 hours of the climb will bring you a beautiful viewpoint called Helipad and this is gonna be your highest point on this trek. A short tea break at the viewpoint and you will start making your way down to the destination today. Once you get there, your guide will brief the day shortly and show you the rooms. Lunch will be ready by then and there is nothing left to do other than sitting next to the fire and enjoying your delicious lunch.

          Hiking: 5 hours / 6 km

          Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

          Accommodation: teahouse in Mangengoth

          Day 7: Trek to Kaseri (2400 m / 7900 ft)

          Today after breakfast, you will get ready to leave the usual trekking trail and join your local guides to go "off the beaten trail" to the hidden village of Sherpa people. The village is surrounded by mountain peaks, it's hidden, fresh, and beautiful. The hike itself starts with a steep uphill for about an hour before it starts descending all the way to the Kaseri village. We will be staying in Tents or homestays and eat viewpoint prepared for us by the villagers. It will truly be a once in a lifetime experience for you.

          Hiking: 5 hours / 4 km

          Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

          Accommodation: Homestay in Kaseri

          Day 8: Trek to Gyangphedi (1700 m / 5577 ft)

          After a tasty breakfast at your homestay in the morning, we will set off for the day. It's 3-4 hours of walking with amazing views along the way. We will be descending at the beginning of the hike, a gradual climb in between and another descend to finish the day at Gyangphedi. We will have Nepali meal called Dalbhat for lunch and after that, we can go wash up ourselves in the river, walk around the village, enjoy the rest of the day at the authentic Nepali village. Enjoy this beautiful opportunity to get to know more about the people, lifestyle and culture from one of the most rural communities of Nepal.

          Hiking: 4 hours / 5 km

          Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

          Accommodation: Homestay in Gyangphedi

          Day 9: Trek to Missra Bhanjyang (1250 m / 4101 feet) and drive back to Kathmandu

          It's time to say goodbye to your new friends and families. After breakfast, your homestay family will wish you safe travel back with a token of love. You will hike down for 2-3 hours down on the dirt road to a place called Missra Bhanjyang, where our private vehicle will be waiting for you to bring you back to Kathmandu.

          5 - 6 hours of driving through the beautiful villages, forests, rice fields in the middle terai (plain land)s of Nepal and the city of Kathmandu. In the afternoon, when you get back to your B&B, you can take a long hot shower to clean yourself up. Later in the evening, go for some good food and a relaxing time.

          Driving: 6 hours / 74 km

          Hiking: 3 hours / 7 km

          Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

          Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu

          Day 10: Debrief and day off

          After breakfast, we will meet with you to talk about your travel experience. We love to hear your feedback because it helps us to get better. For the rest of the day, you can rest and relax, go shopping or participate in one of our day tours around Kathmandu.

          Day 11: Departure

          It’s time to say goodbye, or better - see you again! One of our staff members will drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport 2-3 hours before your scheduled flight time, making sure that you have enough time to check-in.

        Terms & Conditions / Acknowledgement & Acceptance of Risk
        
        The contract:
        Please take the time to read and understand all conditions prior to booking your adventure tour with Himali Dreams Pvt. Ltd.  All clients of Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. must agree to all the following terms and conditions before they are accepted on an adventure tour.
        
        Booking & Payment:
        Prices are quoted in USD. Payment should be made in equivalent Nepali Rupees (NPR) at the published bank exchange rate. Bank Transfer and/or PayPal will be accepted with an additional surcharge.
        
        Deposit:
        25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment must be made 45 days before the tour departure. Clients are responsible for all transfer fees when sending deposits and full payment.  Payment can be made through bank transaction or PayPal.  For these options, add 4% to cover the transaction fees.
        
        Cancellations:
        Any cancellation must be made in writing by the client and acknowledged by Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd.
        • Cancelation 30-45 days prior to departure: 25% penalty
        • Cancelation 15-30 days prior to departure: 50% penalty
        • Cancelation 7-15 days prior to departure: 75% penalty
        Cancelation within 7 days before departure: 100% penalty - no refund. 
        Cancelation during a tour or withdrawing prematurely: 100% penalty - no refund.
        
        Flexibility:
        Changes in the itinerary, routes, accommodation, etc may occur by but are not limited to, weather, natural disasters, political conditions, vehicle failure, or government regulations.  Plans can be changed by the tour guide if client safety is at risk.  By booking a tour with Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd, the client agrees to that he/she has to be flexible and trust the guide’s decision. 
        
        Client details:
        The client must provide all the requested information in order to book the tour.  Information such as full name according to what’s written in the passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue, and expiry date, and any pre-existing medical conditions.  The client cannot book the tour with Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd without these details.
        
        Price change:
        Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to change the price for unsold adventure tours. In a country like Nepal, prices for fuel, transportation, hotels, and flights can fluctuate at any moment due to tax increase/decrease or a change in the dollar exchange rate, which can affect the cost of the tour. The price will not be changed for booked tours within 30 days of departure.
        
        Travel insurance:
        All clients of Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd.  MUST obtain a travel insurance policy that provides coverage before, during, and after your journey covering any medical expenses relating to personal illness or accident, emergency evacuation, and repatriation. In addition, we strongly recommend a policy that includes coverage in case of lost luggage, canceled and/or changed flights, or trains, or unexpected trip cancelation. It will be the client’s responsibility to take out this insurance policy.  At Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd, we highly recommend both World Nomads and Travel Guard.  When taking out a travel insurance policy, be sure to inquire if the Himalayan regions of Nepal are covered.  Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. will not be held responsible for any dispute or claim that arises from the client not having travel insurance or adequate travel insurance.
        
        Acknowledgment of risk:
        Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd will take all steps possible to ensure the safety of the clients while on any adventure tour. However, the client should be aware that certain inherent risks remain which are integral to the activity and cannot be eliminated completely.  Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd will, at all times, use training and experience to minimize the risk to all participants, knowing there are elements within the adventure tours where risk management may be beyond control, despite best practices. 
        
        Acceptance of risk and responsibilities:
        Our tours are adventurous and involve personal risks. The client will be traveling through high altitude destinations that require physical fitness and stamina. Clients are responsible for preparing themselves physically and mentally, assuming the personal risks inherent in such travel.  Clients acknowledge and clearly understand that during the course of the trip certain risks and dangers may occur due to the hazards of traveling in mountainous regions and that by the very nature of the activities they are exposed to some degree of risk. The client must understand that although Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. will take all possible precautions, it is impossible to guarantee absolute safety. Client agrees to assume all risks associated with the journey and agree to hold no liability against Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. in respect to death, personal injury, illness, or for any loss or damage to the property of the participant, including personal gear or other equipment, during the course of the trip.
        The client also agrees to actively participate and follow instructions provided by Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. employees.
        
        Passport, Visas and Travel Permits:
        The client must ensure their passport has a minimum of 6 months validity remaining from the time the tour with Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd is finished. It will be the client’s responsibility to obtain a valid Nepali visa before departure or upon arrival in Nepal.  Visa fees are paid in USD. All passport and visa costs are the responsibility of the client. 
        
        Travel Vaccinations:
        It will be the client’s responsibility to know the specific travel vaccinations required/ recommended for the region(s) they are traveling to. It is also the clients' responsibility to cover the costs of all travel vaccinations needed.         Behavior, Politics, and Law:
        All clients are required to behave in a respectful and law-abiding manner when traveling with Himali Dreams Treks and Tour Pvt. Ltd. Clients are required to obey the laws of Nepal and to not be involved in any political protests and any form of public criticism of the government. If a client, during the tour, is being disrespectful, rude, disruptive, breaking the law, or found to be involved in political protests, the client could be expelled from the tour at the sole discretion of Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd, while forfeiting any right for a refund.
        
        Drones:
        Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd doesn’t allow clients to bring drones on any of our adventure tours because of group safety and Nepali law.  It is illegal to use a drone or any flying object that has a camera in Nepal without a license.  Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd will not be responsible to obtain and return any equipment seized by the authorities. 
        
        Physical fitness, health, skill level:
        Trekking, hiking, and biking at high elevation are very physically challenging.  Select tours take place at high elevations between 3100 meters and 5500 meters (10,000 feet and 19,000 feet). Before joining Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd adventure tours, all clients must be in overall good health and fit to meet the difficulty level advertised for the specific tour.  Eliminating the risk of altitude sickness is impossible when traveling at high elevation, but all Himali Dreams Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd travel routes are built with acclimatization in mind to help reduce the risk of serious altitude-related illness.
